ATTENTION!
Not all heat pump cleans/services are the same.
This recent client has been getting their heat pump "serviced" for years and always told the outdoor unit doesn't need touching.

Their system was struggling to work but after a thorough indoor AND outdoor clean and service it was back to working as it should.
