Thinking about solar or adding a home battery?
I came across this really interesting article from the Clean Energy Council about how home batteries could lower the cost of living for Aussie households.
It’s definitely worth a read 👉 https://cleanenergycouncil.org.au/news-resources/its-time-to-back-home-batteries-home-battery-incentive-would-reduce-cost-of-living
A few things stood out:
• If the battery is part of a smart, “orchestrated” system that works with the grid, the savings can jump even higher.
• It basically gives you more control over your energy — use your own solar power during the day, store the rest for when you actually need it.
What we love about solar + battery combos is that they’re not just about lower bills (although that’s a huge win 😅). They also help with energy independence, protection during outages, and supporting a cleaner, more stable grid.
If you’re starting to explore whether solar + battery might suit your home, here are a couple of things to think about:
• Look at your household’s energy habits
• Pick quality gear that’s approved for Aussie conditions
• Plan ahead for things like EV charging or backup power
• And think long-term — sometimes the real value comes over the years, not the first month
No sales pitch — just sharing good info that we wish more people knew before choosing a system.
📍 If you’re local to Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast and ever want to chat through how solar or batteries actually work (minus the jargon), we’re always happy to help.
