Holding another weekend workshop but this time in the Sunshine Coast!

Hands to Earth / Edible Landscapes and I loved this workshop so much that we have decided to launch another one! 🌱

This time we are venturing up north to the Sunshine Coast to hold another 2 day workshop at Noosa Forest Retreat Noosa Forest Retreat . We are really stoked with this site as we have 6 rooms available and a free community campground with hot showers and a camp kitchen!

If your in the sunny coast and your thinking of building some skills for community and food resilience this is the perfect workshop for you.

We will be teaching you :

- Permaculture homestead design 🏡
- Growing your own veggie’s 🥕
- Nutrient cycling and making your own fertilisers♻️

Another We Forest Earth - Mycoregen Mycoregen workshop inbound for any Mid-North coasters! This time I’ll be teaming up with Troy Rees to run a three hour workshop on Saturday the 15th of August. 🍄

If your looking to learn alternative chem free options in bush regeneration and your interested in turning your w**ds into food and medicine then this workshop is perfect for you.

We will be hosting it at our new site in Dondingalong where we will be targeting Large leaved privet, Wild to***co and other woody w**ds with native endemic edible fungal strains.

If you want to learn how to grow your own food and medicine and restore native ecosystems at the same time then get yourself a ticket!

All of a sudden w**d ridden landscapes can hold huge for growing food and medicine. 🍄

Forests that are overburdened with woody w**ds mean that there is plenty of biomass that can be used to grow your fungi on and you have more incentive to start phasing out the non native trees because you are rewarded with fruiting body’s for your efforts.

It’s a win win situation where your forests are returned to a native dominant ecosystem and you are using the w**ds to grow your mushrooms at the same time.

If this was one branch that fell in a storm imagine the possibly of property’s filled with a camphor/privet forest.

🚨 Pop up Workshop 🍄

This weekend I’ll be collaborating with and to create a workshop showcasing how to incorporating edible fungi into Syntropic systems!

It will be on Sunday the 24th of May at 9:30 am till 12pm in Mullumbimby Creek.

We will run you through how you can benefit from working with woody biomass to grow your own mushrooms. We will be demonstrating how to turn tree prunings like logs and branches into growing mediums for edible & medicinal fungi.

This workshop will teach how you can speed up nutrient cycling and biomass decomposition whilst obtaining a yield at the same time.

The perfect workshop to bring the fungi component into syntropic systems.

We will be holding the workshop at Nadia’s home syntropic garden using locally sourced logs and branches.
