Don’t Dig It Up. Reline It.
Have you heard of pipe relining before?
It’s something we’ve been doing here at Black Buck Plumbing & Gas in Penrith, and a lot of people still don’t realise it’s an option when their underground pipes are damaged.
Instead of automatically digging up a driveway, garden or floor to replace a damaged pipe, pipe relining can, in many cases, allow us to repair the existing pipe from the inside.
The process involves inspecting the pipe with a CCTV camera, cleaning it out and installing a resin liner inside the existing pipe. Once cured, it creates a new pipe within the old one.
It can be particularly useful for issues such as tree roots, cracks, damaged sewer pipes and ageing underground pipework.
We’re a local Penrith-based plumbing business, so I thought I’d share it because I genuinely think more homeowners should know this option exists before reaching for the shovel. 🦌
