Not the most glamorous removal, given the vigorous ivy!

Triple stemmed ash tree (Fraxinus excelsior) with the main dominant leader overhanging the shed- dismantled by the way of negative/cradle rigging to a point of being able to fell the remaining tree by a 3-1 mechanical pulley system.
All to be cleaned up by an excavator & one of the five elements 🔥

A pleasure to conduct works in this particular specimen- Golden elm - Ulmus glabra 'Lutescens'

Having admired this tree from working on this particular property from the age of 19- is the reason of this species being my favourite deciduous variety.
First as a gardener, then to becoming the manager of the property, before reinventing myself into the arborist I am today.

The photo doesn’t give this tree justice, given its current dormancy.
The gem of this particular garden, a credit to its current owner’s.
While inheriting a variety of different exotic species due to the age of the property & its previous owner’s, they’ve also invested a lot of time & vision into capitalising on the existing beauty, on some major landscaping & gardening works to bring this historic homestead into the aosis among the plains it is today.

With the infamous spotted gum driveway (eucalyptus maculata), huge self propagated Osage orange hedge (Maclura pomifera)
Lemon scented gums on the front lawn (Corymbia citriodora) , the vast acreage of old growth river red gum trees (Eucalyptus camaldulensis) 1800 era Stone pines (Pinus pinea) or to the impressive rose beds , it’s no surprise I landed where I am today.
Many thanks go out to them for all of their support & fun had along the way completing all of the projects.

Removal of these declining cypress trees (Cupressus macrocarpa).

New addition to the tools of the trade.

This tipper/chipper combo will make all those no job too small works even easier.
Better accessibility, less ground disturbance & more options on leaving mulch in desired locations.
With a mulch bin to be fabricated shortly, this will make the lighter job’s run all the more smoother 🌳
