A first for the Ticehurst Constructions team today! We got to see the gantry crane be installed in the workshop at RDO Inverell.
The crane is rated to lift up to 16t, it spans over 18m across the shed and can work the full length of the workshop. Even came painted in John Deere Green!

Today we finally started our family home! 🏠
Eliza designed this house over three years ago and we have finally got a start. It’s very surreal seeing our dreams become a reality. We’re very excited to share the progress as it happens
The slab was very detailed due to unfavourable soil type. The piers were drilled to solid base ranging between 2m - 3m deep x 450mm in diameter with 12mm bar cages. Trenches were fully caged with approximately 350 16mm bar used throughout the foundation and a massive 850mm deep x 300mm wide with a top slab at 120mm thick with various thickenings throughout. We used a little over 142m3 of concrete in this pour. But it’s the price we pay to ensure that the home is built on the very best foundation.

Things are starting to progress at our RDO Equipment Australia job in Inverell. We currently have about 2500m2 of concrete hardstand complete. All with 2 layers of F92 mesh at 175mm thick, with 32mpa concrete being used throughout.

The shed has also started going up with the main structure measuring in at 33m x 22m x 10.5m tall, there will also be awnings and a wash bay added to the frame in the coming weeks. As per client request the shed consists of Universal Beams for rafters instead of the standard webbed truss and all of the structural framework painted black. The shed kit was supplied by TechSpan Building Systems in Armidale. It has been great working along side everyone at techspan to bring our clients concept drawings into reality

As usual we want to thank our boys for all their efforts in getting through the work as well as all the subbies that help make it happen.

Eliza and I are thrilled to be working with RDO Equipment Australia on the upgrades of both the Inverell and Moree Branch’s this year. Some exciting projects that we can’t wait to share.

Thanks to Inverell branch manager Nick De Stefani for making the purchase of the machine a great experience. It’s very appreciated!!
