A small planting at Croobyar near Milton NSW and Morton National park. This planting was done with the help of department of climate change, energy the environment and water. Up to 300 plants were planted 2.5years ago in an organic pasture with a water course going into Stony Creek NSW. This is a major river system that flows into Burril lake NSW. Expanding some she-oak flood plain forests and Bangalay/blue gum hybrid forest along Stoney creek upper Burril lake. One year of growth of these Bangalay gums (E. botryoides), from 7inch tubes. Best results I’ve seen with any of the plantings I’ve done in last 3years. Planted in Spring last year.

Todays bush Regen zone south part of Garrads reserve at Narrawallee. Plenty of amazing finds like this Casuarina glauca with markings of an old Parsonsia vine. I don’t really understand how this tree survived such a monstrous vine as the markings look almost as wide as the tree itself? If anyone can clarify why the Parsonsia vine is not on the tree anymore maybe died of old age?

I saw a whip bird at lunch that was so special as I’ve only seen a few in my life.

At the end of a day of injecting lantana and privet it’s always a nice feeling to self sow some endemic species seeding at the time:) We sowed two species Native cheese tree Glochidion ferdanandii and Native Brush Cherry Syzygium australe along Crooked river. At Crooked River Wines
