Budget Bathroom Renovation Reveal

This bathroom was transformed on a budget without compromising on a clean, modern finish.

The lovely clients made contact looking for an affordable solution to repair and renovate their bathroom after extensive water damage caused by failed waterproofing. Once everything was opened up, the damaged flooring was removed and replaced before the bathroom was rebuilt from the ground up.

To help keep costs down, Lamipanel wall linings were installed instead of traditional wall tiles, along with vinyl plank flooring which is a durable, water-resistant, and cost-effective alternative.

A great example of how you don't need an unlimited budget to achieve a fresh, functional bathroom.

Another one wrapped up at Old Beach 🔨

New window and sliding door installed, including creating a new brick opening with appropriately sized lintels for structural support. To finish it off, a floating shelf was reinstated to tie the space together.

PROJECT CLAREMONT — REVEAL 🔨

Proud to finally share the full reveal of our first major project since opening the business.

This project included a full internal renovation featuring:
• 3 bedrooms
• 2 bathrooms
• Full master / ensuite / walk-in robe reconfiguration
• Open plan living upgrades including removal of walls
• Oak features throughout with V-joint timber lining

A massive transformation from start to finish and one we’re extremely proud of.

Bathroom reveals will be coming in a separate post at a later date and a full video walk through will also be posted.

Sneak peek at some of the oak features going into Claremont renovation project.

This one’s a major full-house reno with walls removed to create a big open-plan living spaces, finished off with oak timber and custom features throughout. Starting to really come together now.

Project is nearing completion and will have a full house reveal in the coming weeks 🔨

Installing Solar Batteries Under Your Home?
Don’t Forget the Fire-Rated Installation Zone 🔥

With solar batteries becoming more popular thanks to government rebates, many homes now require a compliant fire-rated area for battery installation — especially under houses or habitable spaces. This process is achieved by using materials such as cement sheet and fire rated sealants to line the walls and ceilings around the installation area. Doing this contains the fire and prevents further damage to your home if the batteries were to catch alight.

Stage 1 of this full home renovation is well and truly underway.

Pre-framing is now complete, including a new layout for the ensuite and walk-in robe, along with the installation of new, wide stairs to better connect the two levels of the home.

Stay tuned as this project moves through the next stages — the transformation is going to be impressive, and I’m excited to share the journey.

New year. New chapter. New business.

2026 marks the start of a new chapter for me.
I’m proud to officially announce the launch of Buckney Carpentry and Contracting.
This photo is of my first job completed, and with the help from skilled tradespeople in my circle, is hopefully the beginning of something we’ve worked hard for and truly believe in. Im grateful for the support so far, and excited for what’s ahead.
