Another successful service call for the Hot Chilli team!

Hot Chilli was engaged to carry out the annual testing of switchboards for one of our valued clients.

During the inspection, our technician noticed a Sprecher + Schuh contactor humming loudly. With client approval, our technician investigated further and found carbon buildup on the magnetic contacts.

The system was safely isolated, the contactor was disconnected and cleaned, and all terminals were checked and tested for tightness before being reassembled and returned to service.

✅ Coil voltage checked and confirmed
✅ Carbon buildup removed
✅ Terminals inspected and tightness tested
✅ Contactor fully tested and confirmed operating safely

But the job wasn't just about getting the equipment back up and running. Our tradesman took the opportunity to walk our apprentice through the entire troubleshooting and repair process, sharing practical knowledge and experience that will help build their skills for the future.

At Hot Chilli, we believe good tradespeople aren't just made in the workshop, they're developed on the job, through experience, teamwork and sharing knowledge.

🧊 ICE, ICE, BABY…

A fast-food client called us when their drive-through ice machine stopped working.

Our team attended site, carried out testing and found the culprit! A compressor that had gone open circuit. Not ideal when you’re trying to keep the drive-through moving and ice is a pretty important part of the operation! 🥤

Rather than leaving our client waiting, we got straight onto a solution. A new ice machine was purchased and installed just three days after the initial call-out, getting the machine back up and running and helping minimise any further disruption (and lost sales!).

But we weren't quite finished yet...

The faulty machine is heading back to the Hot Chilli workshop, where it’ll be rebuilt, tested and returned to the client to keep on hand as a critical spare.

Because apparently, one ice machine is never enough when you’re keeping the burgers, chips and drinks flowing. 😂

What a fantastic transformation by the Hot Chilli team! 👏❄️

One of our clients came to us after discovering their work shed space had become almost unusable. The original air conditioner condenser had been installed in a location that directed unwanted heat into the area, making it uncomfortable to enjoy.

Rather than simply moving the unit, we worked closely with the client to inspect the site, discuss their needs, and determine the best possible location. Once the ideal solution was agreed upon, our team prepared a detailed quote outlining the proposed works.

After approval, we got straight to it!

The end result? A practical, well-thought-out installation that has made the space enjoyable again. 🙌

A huge shoutout to our technicians for their professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to finding the right solution, not just the quickest one.

It's this level of care and teamwork that we're proud to deliver on every project.
