Some exciting news I’ve been looking forward to sharing! 💙

I’m so happy to be undertaking a one-month residency at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop in Edinburgh Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop this September.

I arrived yesterday and started in the studio today. I absolutely love my new studio space. It’s spacious, filled with beautiful natural light, and already feels like a wonderful place to begin something new.

And what I found especially beautiful was this little bunch of dried lavender attached to the wall, left behind by the Lebanese artist who was here before me. I love the thought that something of her presence has stayed behind and is now quietly welcoming me into the space. 💙💜

A new place, a new chapter, and a new project beginning…

I’m feeling very grateful and excited to see where this month will take me. 🫶✨

Somehow, Campbelltown has always held a very special place in my heart. ❤️

When I first came to Australia, I lived nearby. I got married in the church there, and later had my first baby christened in that very same church. So much of my early life in Australia, both the challenges and the precious memories, is connected to this place. And now, many years later, it feels incredibly special to have my work shown there for the first time, as a finalist in the 2026 Fisher’s Ghost Art Award! 🙌❣️

I’m so excited and grateful to be part of this wonderful exhibition, and to return to a place that holds so much personal history for me. ❤️🤍💙

Congratulations to all the finalists! ❤️

The finalist exhibition will be on display from Saturday 26 September to 4 December 2026 at Campbelltown Arts Centre Campbelltown Arts Centre

The installation of “Weight of History: Borne Across Borders” is now complete at Manly Art Gallery and Museum Manly Art Gallery & Museum, as part of the 2026 Northern Beaches Environmental Art & Design Prize.

During the installation, the curator asked me, “Why eggshell?”

For me, eggshells carry the memory of fragility and resilience. They remind me of the image of “雞蛋高牆” — the contrast between the ordinary and the powerful, the fragile and the unyielding. Like the many people who have little voice or power, the smallest can be vulnerable when facing forces much greater than themselves.

The eggshell fragments in this work are remnants from my previous work, pieces that have been walked over and crushed by people. They carry traces of encounters, histories, and lived experiences.

❤️🤍💙

The opening is tomorrow, Friday 7th August, at 6pm. Hope to see you there!

I only spent 4 days and 3 nights in Adelaide on my very first visit, meeting artists, visiting galleries, and having my first film screening there. It all happened so quickly, and I felt a little overwhelmed, but in the best possible way! 🙌

Everyone was so warm, supportive, and welcoming. I truly felt so blessed 🥹💗

A huge thank you to my dear friend Janette Janette Gay for welcoming me into her lovely, cosy home and driving me around. Your kindness meant so much to me. 💕

And a big shout-out to Alyssa Alyssa Powell-Ascura | Filipina Australian | artist & writer an amazing writer, curator and artist, for organising the wonderful gathering of talented local artists at the lovely Smoky Fish Café, and for taking me to so many inspiring galleries: Feltspace, The Mills Gallery, ACE Gallery, The David Roche Foundation, AGSA, The Little Machine, Floating Duck, Hugo Michell Gallery and JamFactory.

I was lucky that SALA was on because art was everywhere! ✨

The screening and artist talk at Mercury Cinema were unforgettable. The venue, the audience, the conversations… everything was new to me. What an incredible experience. I feel deeply grateful for the warmth, generosity and encouragement I received throughout my visit.

Thank you, Adelaide. I can’t wait to see you again soon! 🙌💕💗

So excited to share that our short “Unseamed” has been selected for FELTcinema II: ACE Collab! 🎬❤️

Hosted by FELTspace, an amazing artist-run gallery in Adelaide, in collab with ACE Gallery. 1st August, 5pm at The Mercury Cinema.

“Unseamed” has been shortlisted and shown around before, but this is its first time screening in an actual cinema… and honestly it feels like such a special milestone 🥹

Never been to Adelaide, so this is the perfect excuse to finally visit and catch up with friends there too. So grateful to everyone who’s supported this film along the way 🙏

If you’re in Adelaide on Aug 1st, come say hi! 🎟️

A few years ago, I began a work called “In the dark, I walk… “ and then left it unfinished.

Recently, I returned to it, and I’m excited that it has been selected for the upcoming exhibition Home Grown, curated by Willoughby City Council as part of Emerge Festival 2026.

Looking forward to sharing more as the work continues to evolve.

What a fabulous opening for “I Am Here”, the Burwood Art Prize 2026 last night!

It was my first time entering the Burwood Art Prize, and I’m delighted that our experimental film “Unseamed”is being featured. A huge thank you to my collaborator and filmmaker Liam lack for his incredible work. I wouldn’t have been able to tell this story without his support. 🙌

It was lovely to be exhibiting alongside such a great lineup of artists and to catch up with so many artist friends. ✌️💗

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists again!🤩

A huge thank you to the judges, Phaptawan Suwannakudt@phaptawan_suwannakudt, Pedro de Almeida and Billy Bain and to the entire Burwood Art Prize team for making this exhibition possible. 💛
