Hey, I’m Lachie, the owner of LACHSCAPES.
I’m based in Gunning and work across the Southern Tablelands, helping people create outdoor spaces they actually want to spend time in.
I specialise in garden design, turf, retaining walls, paving, irrigation and more, but what matters most to me is doing the job properly and leaving you with results you can feel confident about.
When I’m not on site, you’ll usually find me travelling to compete at local rodeos or spending time with my friends and family. They’re a big part of who I am and why I value the work I do.
I started LACHSCAPES with the idea of honest work, clear communication and taking pride in every job, whether it’s a small backyard or a larger commercial site.

Add a 5–10cm layer of mulch to lock in moisture and keep roots cool. Bark chips or straw work great and improve your soil too.
2. Water early or late
Water before 9am or after 5pm to reduce evaporation. Deep, less frequent watering helps build strong roots.
3. Mow smart
Raise your mower height a little — longer grass shades the soil and keeps moisture in.
