Garden lighting in North Gosford this week.

The client's brief was soft lighting that looked good at night without being in their face. So we kept it low and subtle: small spotlights tucked into the garden beds and angled up into the plants, with the pergola lit softly above the outdoor dining area. Weatherproof switches went in on the deck too, so it's all easy to run.

The backyard now feels warm and usable after dark, rather than lit up like a car park. Exactly what they asked for.

Here is a question worth asking: does your home have safety switches on every circuit?

A safety switch (RCD) cuts the power in a fraction of a second if it detects a fault, and it is the single most important device for protecting your family from electric shock. Many older homes have only one, or none at all.
