BRISBANE CONCRETE HONING | FLOOD-RESILIENT OUTDOOR LIVING
This week we completed a concrete hone and penetrating sealer application using Concrete Shield, supplied by Con-Treat on a Brisbane property that had unfortunately been affected by flooding.
After raising the main dwelling, the property owner has transformed the undercroft area into a fantastic outdoor living space.
Because this area will be exposed to the elements and used much like a patio or driveway, we treated the concrete accordingly — honing the surface to achieve a clean, refined polished concrete look, while maintaining an excellent slip rating for an outdoor environment.
The result is a durable, low-maintenance concrete finish that combines functionality, aesthetics and slip resistance — ideal for Brisbane or Gold Coast outdoor lifestyle.

This weekend, the team were back on the night shift at Dreamworld / WhiteWater World, completing epoxy coating removal and concrete surface preparation grinding across 600m²+ for Mattioli Group.

For this brand-new architectural home in the Gold Coast Hinterland, we strategically positioned the trailer and ramps, secured the equipment, and carefully winched our heavy-duty concrete grinding machine down the steep slope and into position.

Today, Raw Floor Finishes completed another stunning mechanical concrete polish for clients currently undertaking a kitchen renovation.
The clients had absolutely no idea what colour aggregate was hiding beneath their existing concrete slab… but once we started concrete grinding, exposing the aggregate and mechanically polishing the concrete, let’s just say — they definitely weren’t disappointed! 😍
And honestly, neither were we! The colours and natural aggregate came up absolutely amazing. 🎨✨
