Made the most of Monday’s break between the showers on the Gold Coast to transform this beautiful outdoor patio area. ☀️🌧️
We refined the existing concrete to a 120-grit finish, creating a smooth, clean look, before applying two coats of penetrating sealer to protect the surface while maintaining its slip-resistant properties.

A great result that looks fantastic and is built to handle the Gold Coast lifestyle. 👌

What a massive week for the Raw Floor Finishes team! 💪🔥
We went into our Robina project aiming to finish 190m² of mechanical polished concrete, but this one threw everything at us.

After filling a 4m³ skip bin with dust bags and empty chemical containers, completing 160+ lineal metres of edging, tackling multiple crack repairs and pushing through the prep work, we finally managed to get the floor sealed at 5:30pm Friday.

So… it’s a Saturday buff! 😅💪

The finish is getting closer, and the team has absolutely put in the hard yards to get it there.

We’ve just completed the grinding of an entire 190m² residential home, taking the floor right through to full aggregate exposure, followed by grouting and densification thanks to Auskut Diamond Tools & WORX+ for the premium products ✨
Tomorrow, we kick off the mechanical polishing process — bringing this floor one step closer to a premium, durable, low-maintenance polished concrete finish. 👌

🏡 NEW RESIDENTIAL PROJECT | ROBINA, GOLD COAST
Monday we kicked off another exciting residential concrete polishing project in Robina on the Gold Coast at a home where we previously completed the tile uplift and removal.

Since then, the owner has completed the major structural changes, including wall alterations, a brand-new kitchen and renovated bathrooms.

Now it’s our turn to finish the floors. 👊

We’re removing the final few m² of existing tiles before getting started on the mechanical concrete polishing throughout the interior, followed by external concrete honing to bring the outdoor areas to life.

This project is going to showcase just how good an existing concrete slab can look with the right preparation, grinding, polishing and finishing.

Today we completed another mechanically polished concrete floor on the Gold Coast for Airey Building Group | Gold Coast Commercial Builder transforming a concrete slab with over 60 years of history into a modern, durable finish.
Originally constructed in 1964, this slab revealed an incredible mix of natural river stone aggregate. Every polished concrete project tells a story, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint.

Despite its age, the slab was in remarkably good condition. Throughout the polishing process, we applied concrete densifier to strengthen the surface and repaired all cracks and pinholes using premium grout supplied by both Auskut Diamond Tools & WORX+ The floor was then polished to a 400-grit semi-gloss finish, creating the perfect balance between aesthetics, durability and low maintenance.

The result is a commercial polished concrete floor that’s ready for its next tenancy—offering a seamless, hard-wearing, easy-to-maintain surface built to last for decades.
