What If You Stopped Waiting to Feel Ready?

So many women tell me they're waiting for the "right time."

The right time to change careers.
The right time to put themselves first.
The right time to pursue a dream that's been sitting quietly in the background for years.

But what if feeling ready isn't the point?

Readiness was never the deciding factor.

The real question is:

"Do I want this enough to do what it takes?"

The women who create meaningful change in their lives aren't always the most confident. They're the ones who decide that staying where they are is no longer an option.

If you've been feeling stuck, settling, or putting everyone else's needs before your own, perhaps it's time to explore what's possible when you start raising your standards without guilt.

Sometimes the life you want is waiting on the other side of a decision, not a feeling.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about adaptability, a theme that first took root for me years ago while living in Japan. Their approach to personal development, especially ideas found in books like Ikigai, shaped how I see growth, purpose, and the way we move through the world.

And then a familiar reminder resurfaced recently from Bruce Lee, whose philosophy has always hit deeper than it first appears:

“Be like water… Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. Water can flow or it can crash.”

What I love about this metaphor is how quietly powerful it is. Water doesn’t resist the shape it’s given; it adapts. It moves, nourishes, reshapes landscapes, and when needed, it crashes with force.

There’s strength in that kind of flexibility.

Life works the same way. We can stay rigid and hope the world bends around us, or we can choose to stay open, responsive, and willing to evolve.

Change is inevitable, but resilience grows when we bend rather than break.

Being “water” isn’t passive. It’s humility, awareness, and strength working together. It’s trusting timing, trusting the process, and trusting that our impact often reaches further than we realise.

Here’s to staying fluid and letting life shape us into who we’re meant to become.

Are You Settling for a Life That Looks Fine on the Outside… But Feels Unfulfilled on the Inside?

At some point, many women reach a crossroads.

The career is ticking along.
The family is taken care of.
Life looks “successful.”

But deep down, there’s a quiet voice asking:

“Is this really it?”

If you’ve been feeling called to raise your standards, speak up for what you want, and stop accepting less than you’re capable of creating, this month’s group coaching session is for you.

✨ Walk Your Talk: A Midlife Reset for Women Ready for More ✨

You can scroll for inspiration… or you can step into the room where it actually happens.
Success leaves clues.

And I’ve stopped chasing noise… and started surrounding myself with doers.
Women who walk their talk.Women who’ve lived it, not just learned it.Women who cultivate belief by the way they show up every single day.

You can’t microwave greatness…You don’t need more information. You need proximity to people who are already living what you say you want.

That’s how things shift.
So instead of telling you what’s possible… I’m inviting you to experience it.

Join me in Glenelg North this May for 1.5 hours of real, raw, powerful transformation. No fluff. No hiding. No waiting for “one day.”

Just 10 spots for women in midlife who are ready to:

Something exciting is coming to Popcorn Coaching… and honestly, it’s been building for years.

So many women in midlife look like they’re holding it all together on the outside…
Career. Family. Responsibilities. Showing up for everyone else.

But underneath?

They’re asking themselves quietly…

“Is this it?”
“What do I actually want now?”
“Why do I feel so disconnected from myself?”

I get it—because I’ve lived it too.

Midlife isn’t a crisis.
It’s an invitation.

An invitation to stop settling.
To reconnect with who you are.
To raise your standards.
To create a life that actually feels like yours.

That’s why I’m launching my new Popinar series through Popcorn Coaching:

Walk Your Talk: A Midlife Reset for Women Ready for More

These intimate in-person sessions at my studio in Glenelg North are designed for women who know they’re meant for more, but need clarity, confidence, and the courage to take the next step.

Future You Is Waiting: Designing Your Next Chapter

This is real conversation, practical mindset work, and a space to reconnect with yourself and your next chapter.

Because you’re not too late.
You’re right on time.

If this feels like it was written for you… it probably was.

Maybe you need to hear this…

Real mentorship doesn’t come from borrowed frameworks.
It comes from lived experience.

I’ve been on my own structured personal development journey for almost 10 years now, but long before that, life was already teaching me some pretty solid lessons.

I transitioned from one side of Canada to the other.
Moved to Japan to teach English in a completely new industry.
Got married in Europe.
Then moved to Australia and built a life from the ground up.

Safe to say… I’ve been around the block a little.

Professionally, I’ve transitioned from sport, marketing, and sponsorship…
to fundraising and philanthropy…
to coaching and entrepreneurship.

None of it happened overnight.

Lasting personal development takes time.
Money.
Energy.
Commitment.
And a willingness to keep going when the novelty wears off and the real work begins.

What I've seen recenty…

In the coaching space, because it's unregulated, many people end up receiving advice built on theory instead of track record and then wonder why nothing changes.

Before you work with a coach, mentor, or business guide you resonate with, ask a few better questions:

What have they actually built, and can they show you proof?

Have they been where you want to go, or are they just good at talking about it?

Have they led people through growth, challenge, and the messy middle?

Do they still invest in their own coaching and development?

Because real mentorship isn’t about polished captions and clever quotes.

It’s about lived experience.
It’s about walking your talk.
It’s about helping people because you’ve done the work yourself.

If you’re navigating a big life shift, especially in mid-life, and trying to work out what’s next, I’d love to have that conversation.

Sometimes the right mentor doesn’t give you answers…
They help you trust yourself enough to create them.
