A little more involved than it looked!

This block looked like a fairly straightforward brush cut and mow - but there were plenty of hidden surprises underneath the long grass!

We took the time to carefully work through the block, clearing around the obstacles and getting everything cut back and tidied up.

A big of hard work, a few hours on the mower and a much cleaner, more usable block 💪

Meet the Team — Journey with Nature | Jim’s Mowing Herne Hill East

Behind every great garden is a team who genuinely enjoys getting outdoors, getting stuck into the work and helping people make their properties work for them.

So, we thought it was time you met the team!

Ben — Director

Ben is the Director of Journey with Nature Pty Ltd ATF Jim’s Mowing Herne Hill East and is the one you’ll most often find out on the tools.

With a background in the trade industry, Ben is mechanically minded, practical and — perhaps most importantly — a great problem solver. If there’s a job that needs figuring out, he’s usually happy to have a crack at it!

Ben loves being outdoors, meeting new people and having a chat with customers along the way. He’s also the type of person who is always willing to lend a hand to a neighbour.

Outside of the business, Ben is a Scout Leader and has undertaken training in chainsaw operation, risk management and horticulture.

Ben can help with:
Mowing & edging
Garden care & garden edging
Hedging & pruning
Landscaping
Fertilising
Irrigation
Lawn aeration & dethatching
Yard clean-ups
General rubbish removal
Gutter & window cleaning
Firewood delivery & log splitting
Ride-on mowing
Bin services
And ODD JOBS!

Got a job you've been putting off because you’re not quite sure who to call? Ask us! If it’s something we can safely help with, we’ll be happy to take a look.

Kim — Business Management & Operations

Kim works behind the scenes helping keep the business running smoothly; supporting business management, administration and operations, while occasionally escaping the paperwork to lend a hand on the tools!

With a background in training and management, Kim brings plenty of organisation, planning and problem-solving to the business.

Kim is also a Scout Leader and has training in nature conservation, which fits nicely with our love of working outdoors and caring for the local environment.

While you’ll often find Kim on the other end of a phone call or email helping make sure everything runs smoothly — take note that she’s not afraid to get her hands dirty either!

Heath — Junior Apprentice

And last but certainly not least, there’s Heath!

Heath is our Junior Apprentice, when he is not at school or playing Minecraft, he is spending time out on the tools, getting hands-on experience and learning the trade.

We’re pretty proud to be able to give him the opportunity to learn, work outdoors and develop practical skills along the way.

We're a small local team, and that's exactly how we like it.

Whether you need a regular lawn service, a garden tidy-up, some landscaping, a load of firewood, or that random job you've been wondering who on earth you could get to do — give us a call.

Big job, small job or odd job — if we can help, we will!
