Your AC is a marathon runner, not a sprinter. 🏃❄️

There is a huge myth that setting your air con to 18°C makes it cool the house faster than setting it to 24°C.

Most air conditioners pump out cool air at the exact same speed, no matter what temperature is on the dial.

Setting it to 18°C doesn't open a "turbo valve." It just tells the compressor to keep running until the room hits 18°C... which, in a Canberra summer, might be never.

The Result: You pay for electricity you didn't need, and you stress the motor out.

The Pro Tip: Set it to 23°C or 24°C. It will cool down just as fast, but your wallet will thank you.

A comfortable summer starts before the heatwave hits. ☀️📉

Most people wait until the first 35-degree day to think about their cooling. By then, if something is wrong, you’re in a queue.

Here is your checklist to ensure your system is efficient and ready to go:

1️⃣ Check Your AC Now: Turn it on today. Don't just check if it blows air listen to it. Rattles, squeaks, or weak airflow are early warning signs of a summer breakdown.

2️⃣ Clean Air Filters: This is the #1 cause of high energy bills. If the unit can’t breathe, it works twice as hard (and costs twice as much) to cool the room.

3️⃣ Seal Windows: Don’t pay to cool the neighbourhood. Check your draft stoppers and window seals to keep the expensive cold air inside.
