Progress continues on our Narrabeen project despite all the rain 🌧️, with several key drainage upgrades and waterproofing preparation now completed.
A major focus of this stage has been improving the balcony drainage system on the balconies. New drainage outlets and upgraded overflow provisions have been installed to ensure water 💦 is effectively captured and discharged.
Balcony edge hobs have been prepared and refined in readiness for waterproofing.
We have also completed the installation of the new door hobs creating compliant waterproofing transitions and preventing water from tracking into internal living areas.
At every stage, our team remains focused on delivering practical and long-term remedial solutions.

Due to the existing balconies being significantly out of level, our team carried out detailed laser levelling to establish accurate heights and falls across each balcony.

Timber framework was installed and concrete poured to provide a straight, consistent and properly aligned finish to the balcony edge hobs.

New reinforced steel is being installed and integrated into the concrete slab to provide additional structural support and improve the overall stability of the foundation for the balcony edge hobs.
Attention to detail is carried out to ensure the repaired areas are strong, secure and built to withstand the corrosive coastal environment.

Concrete spalling repairs now underway across the balconies at our Narrabeen project.
While often hidden beneath the surface, concrete deterioration is something that should never be overlooked.
Our team is carefully removing compromised areas, treating exposed reinforcement and restoring the concrete structure to ensure long-term durability and protection.
These repairs are a critical part of maintaining the integrity and safety of the building.

The balcony cavities have been meticulously waterproofed using a high-performance PVC sheet membrane, forming a robust and continuous barrier against moisture ingress. This system is carefully detailed to ensure durability that extends beyond the visible finishes.
We have then commenced reinstating the masonry to preserve the integrity of the waterproofing system 🧱.

Narrabeen project progressing well with cavity flashings now carefully prepared for waterproofing across all 3 balconies🧱.
This critical step ensures that any potential water ingress is effectively managed, directing moisture away from the internal areas and protecting the structure long-term.

Stripping back to build better- Narrabeen

Demolition is now underway with works commenced across 3 balconies.
Existing tiles have been carefully removed along with sections of the wall render, to allow for the installation of proper cavity flashings and preparation of the floor for new tiling.

New Project underway at Narrabeen- We’re excited to kick off our latest remedial project with site set-up now in full swing.
Scaffolding access stairs have been installed to ensure safe and efficient movement throughout the works.
This project will see the complete remediation of three balconies, including new waterproofing systems, high-quality tiling, balcony door replacements and brand new balustrades.
