Georgia Gets By is the sound of Georgia Nott coming home to herself. Best known for her work as one half of the celebrated duo Broods, Nott’s debut solo album, Heavy Meadow, represents a natural cycle completed - a return to the instinctive, solitary songwriting of her youth.

Recorded live in just three days to prioritise gut feeling over industry expectations, the album trades heavy layers for a “cinematic singer-songwriter” warmth, blending the strength of motherhood with a delicate, unabashedly feminine vulnerability. By stepping away from the studio’s distractions and returning to the basic elements of guitar and voice, Nott has crafted a sanctuary for catharsis where tension and tenderness coexist. It is an intentional act of world-building that honours her younger self while offering a hand-crafted refuge for the listener to finally slow down and breathe.

DROP064 HUN LYNCH - SYCOPHANT

Sycophant is the first offering of recorded music from the polymathic Tāmaki artist Hun Lynch. Recorded almost entirely at her house on a bedroom setup, Hun wrote, played and produced almost every element on the album.
Sycophant guides us through lucid cinematic scenes saturated in hypnotic choral vocals, driving guitar loops and synth-work akin to musique concrète.

Sycophant is a meditation on rediscovering one’s spirituality after both being rejected by and rejecting organised religion. The processing of these experiences becomes a lamentation of Christianity’s participation in the colonial rupture across Te Moana-nui-a-Kiwa, from which the album was born. Grappling with co-existing states of love, guilt, fear, lust, grief and hope. Pulsing between feelings of grandiosity and insignificance, between the atavistic, animal experience of being alive and the existential, cerebral confusion of playing a part in the current world. At the same time, Sycophant is an expression of love and devotion to Hannah’s family and friends and everyone she knows and doesn’t know.

“Genre-bending” is often used to describe the members of the ZIPS (+++!) Collective. A group consisting of rappers Church & AP, RNZO, Deadforest, and in-house producer/engineer Dera Meelan. WHO SHOT SCOTT opens a defining new chapter with his long-awaited debut album ‘HAIRY’ - a record built on the scars of adolescence, the universal struggle of being a teenager, and the fire of turning that pain into power. Across nine tracks, HAIRY is loud and impossible to box in - one moment you’re hit with unfiltered punk rap chaos, the next you’re submerged in a moment of fragile self reflection.

For WHO SHOT SCOTT, this project is as much a reclamation as it is a debut statement.
