We don’t just find the leak — we fix it. 🔍🔧

As Pro Detect Leak Detection continues to grow, we remain committed to providing the best possible service across swimming pool and spa leak detection and repairs.

That means continuing to invest in the right equipment, the right people, and now dedicated Pool Repair Vehicles within our fleet.

Our goal is simple: provide a complete service from detection through to repair. We can accurately locate the source of water loss, then provide a clear pathway to getting it repaired properly — without leaving our customers to start the process all over again with someone else.

Our dedicated repair vans are being set up specifically for swimming pool repairs, allowing us to tackle everything from underground pipework and failed fittings through to a range of structural and hydraulic repairs.

Find it. Pinpoint it. Repair it. Verify it.

If your swimming pool or spa is losing water, or you have a confirmed pool leak that requires repair, give Pro Detect Leak Detection a call.

Sometimes, leaks are hidden in plain sight. 👀💧

Everything can look completely normal — until you place a little tracer dye in exactly the right spot.

Then the leak reveals itself.

No guessing. No assumptions. Just methodical testing, the right equipment, and knowing where to look.

🔍 We don’t guess. We test.

We arrived on site and the customer advised that the hydrostatic valve appeared to have reseated itself and the water loss may have stopped.

But that doesn’t mean the investigation stops.

We don’t guess. We test. 🔍💧

And just like that — comprehensive testing identified another concern.

As you can see in the video, tracer dye is being actively drawn through one of the pool return outlets, indicating a potential failure associated with the return fitting or hydraulic line.

From here, we strip it down, investigate the fitting itself and pressure test the associated pipework to determine whether the failure is localised at the pe*******on or located underground.

This is exactly why we recommend comprehensive leak detection testing wherever appropriate.

A pool can have one obvious major leak — but that doesn’t mean it’s the only leak.

Secondary leaks can exist throughout the structure, pe*******ons and hydraulic network, and without testing the entire system, they can easily go undetected.

Find the obvious. Test everything. Know exactly where you stand.

You can’t accurately test a pool if you don’t understand how it works. 💧

A cornerstone of training every technician at Pro Detect Leak Detection is understanding pool hydraulics — not just knowing how to operate leak detection equipment.

On this job, our technician Reiky first had to establish exactly what was happening with the pool return.

The return leaves the filter, heads underground beneath the house, comes back up at the heater, passes through the heater, heads back underground to the equipment, through the chlorination cell, and finally back to the pool.

It’s not a simple A-to-B pipe run.

Once the hydraulic layout was understood, we knew exactly what needed to be isolated and tested.

We pressure tested the underground section back towards the heater — failed.

Further diagnosis and location followed.

Leak located underground beside the heater. 🎯

This is why understanding pool hydraulics is every bit as important as the leak detection process itself. You need to know what you’re testing, where it goes and how it interacts with the rest of the system before the test results mean anything.

Understand the system. Test the system. Find the problem.

We don’t guess. We test.

We don’t guess. We test. 🔍💧

Finding a leak isn’t always the same as understanding the full condition of a swimming pool.

That’s why, particularly on older pools or where multiple issues may be present, we recommend comprehensive testing — assessing the structure, pe*******ons, hydraulic pipework and other applicable components rather than stopping at the first problem we find.

On this job, unfortunately, the pool had deteriorated beyond the point where localised repairs would provide a suitable outcome. But that doesn’t make the testing any less valuable — in fact, it makes it even more important.

Every issue identified is tested, documented and reported, giving the owner a comprehensive picture of what is happening and what needs attention.

Our detailed report can then be provided directly to their preferred pool renovation specialist, giving everyone the same information from the outset:

✔️ What has failed
✔️ Where the issues are located
✔️ What has been tested
✔️ What needs to be addressed
✔️ What should be considered during renovation

No guesswork. No repairing one problem only to discover another later.

Assess it properly. Report it properly. Then it can be rectified properly.

That’s comprehensive swimming pool leak detection.

💦 Ever wondered what actually goes into a comprehensive swimming pool & spa leak detection?

Take a look at this one… 👀

🏊 Large swimming pool
💦 Attached spa
🔄 In-floor cleaning system
⚙️ 5 pumps
🔧 50+ pipe outlets & pe*******ons

Every outlet needs to be isolated.
Every pipe network needs to be pressure tested.
Every pe*******on needs to be checked.
Every component needs to be assessed.
Every square inch of the tiled structure needs to be inspected.

And yes… we’ve already found a leak.

But we don’t stop there.

Finding a leak doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve found the only leak.

Over the years, we’ve developed a comprehensive testing process designed to assess the entire pool and spa system during our attendance — because secondary leak locations, plumbing faults and other issues can easily be missed when testing is focused only on the most obvious problem.

Some testing approaches may locate the largest leak and call the job done.

That’s not how we operate.

We isolate.
We pressure test.
We inspect.
We verify.
We document.

Because a Pro Detect assessment isn’t just about finding where the water is going.

It’s an overall health check of your pool and spa system.

We don’t guess. We test. 🎯

Not every leak detection ends with a simple repair… and that’s okay.

Come along with us as we assess this ageing vinyl-lined pool. After comprehensive testing, we found the liner has deteriorated significantly, with 30+ active holes, two broken underground pipe sections, and even the pool lights have broken away from their mounting brackets.

At this stage, targeted repairs alone won’t restore the pool to long-term reliability. The reality is this pool is ready for a major renovation.

But here’s where leak detection provides real value.

Instead of guessing or spending money on the wrong repairs, the owners now have clarity. They know exactly what’s causing the water loss, what needs immediate attention, and what can be planned for the future.

We’ll repair and patch what we reasonably can to minimise water loss, giving them the best chance of getting through another swim season while they plan for a full liner replacement and plumbing repairs.

Sometimes the best outcome isn’t hearing “it’s an easy fix.” Sometimes it’s finally having the confidence to make the right decision.

We don’t guess. We test.
