A BEAUTIFUL FEATURE CEILING BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE 👌

Our team recently completed a restain of this stunning cladded raked ceiling.

A section of the cladding had been replaced, so the challenge was to carefully match the new timber with the existing stain before giving the entire ceiling a fresh clear coat.

The result?

A consistent finish that brings the whole ceiling back together while letting that beautiful timber remain the feature.

Painters Edge is growing, and we have an opportunity for the right person to join our team in a full-time Office Manager / Accounts & Administration role.

If you’re organised, good with people and enjoy being the person who keeps things ticking along behind the scenes, this could be a great fit.

It’s a varied role, but you certainly won’t be expected to walk in on day one knowing everything.

You’ll be working across the everyday office side of the business, including general administration, accounts, helping with client enquiries, keeping records organised and supporting the team.

We’re looking for someone who:

✔ Has experience in administration and accounts
✔ Is organised and comfortable juggling a few things at once
✔ Has good communication skills
✔ Can work independently when needed
✔ Is happy to learn how we do things
✔ Wants to become part of a friendly, growing local business

Most importantly, we’re looking for the right person.

Someone reliable, approachable and keen to settle into a full-time role where they can become a valued part of the team.

IT’S THE SMALL DETAILS THAT COMPLETE THE JOB. 👌

It might not be the biggest part of a kitchen project, but getting these finishing touches right makes all the difference.

With the overhead cabinetry now installed, our team has fitted the cornice neatly around the new cabinets to match the existing room and give everything a seamless, finished appearance.

It’s one of those details you probably wouldn’t think twice about once the kitchen is complete.

And that’s exactly the point.

Cabinetry in.

Cornice finished.

Now it’s ready for the painters to come through and complete the transformation. 🎨

ANOTHER BIG STAGE COMPLETED BY THE TEAM. 👌

There’s a lot more to an insurance repair than simply making everything look good again.

For this stage, we’ve installed two layers of 16mm Firechek plasterboard to the ceiling as part of the required fire-rated compliance system.

The second layer has been installed with all joins offset by approximately 400mm, ensuring the joints between each layer don’t line up and creating a strong, continuous fire-rated barrier.

All perimeter edges, junctions and required penetrations have also been sealed with fire-rated mastic to complete the system.

✅ 2 x layers of 16mm Firechek
✅ Second-layer joins offset by approximately 400mm
✅ Full perimeter fire-rated sealing
✅ Set and finished ready for inspection
✅ Ready for certified engineer sign-off

Once we get the tick of approval, it’s onto the cornice, final preparation and paint to bring the entire area back to completion.

For this project, we took care of the entire interior repaint — from the ceilings right down to the skirting boards.

🔨 NO JOB IS TOO SMALL WHEN IT COMES TO DOING IT PROPERLY.

Sometimes it’s the smallest projects that require the greatest level of teamwork.

On this job, the roofing team called in our carpenters to replace two of the smallest gable sections we’ve ever worked on. While the repairs were small, the importance of getting them right was anything but.

Projects like this rely on trades working together. The roofers need to install their flashing correctly, and we need to ensure the new gable sections are perfectly prepared so our painting team can deliver a seamless finish afterwards.

It’s a great example of how cooperation between skilled trades leads to the best outcome for the client. Everyone has a role to play, and when those roles come together, the results speak for themselves.

With the carpentry complete, it’s now over to one of our painters to undercoat and paint, bringing the project to its final stage.

After being called in to repair the damaged areas, they carefully reframed the affected sections, installed new soffit linings, fitted the scotia, completed the skylight detailing and ensured every join was finished to a high standard.

Another full exterior transformation completed by the Painters Edge team 👌

With exterior painting, what happens before the paint goes on is just as important as the finished coat.

This one involved extensive preparation including pressure cleaning, sanding, rust remediation and treatment, priming of bare and affected surfaces, plus careful masking and protection throughout.

Once the preparation was complete, the entire exterior was repainted, with the metal and detailed areas spray finished using a fine tip for a clean, consistent result.

A massive transformation and, more importantly, a finish prepared properly and built to last. 👌
