CPE Construction were proud to be engaged by PowerNet (now Ventia) in 2025 to construct the new Control Room at the Shepparton Terminal Station.

Delivered within a live substation environment, this project presented unique challenges, including working safely beneath 220kV overhead powerlines, requiring careful planning, strict safety protocols, and close coordination across all teams.
This outcome reflects our capability in delivering complex infrastructure for critical network operations, with safety and quality at the forefront.

A big thank you to our trusted subcontractors Bell Earthmoving, Kialla Plumbing, CM Concreting, Bondpro, and all others involved. Your expertise and collaboration were essential in bringing this project to life.

We’re proud to contribute to infrastructure that supports the region’s energy network.

It was great to host the students from St Mary of the Angels at CPE yesterday. Thank you to Tully, Jack, Josh and Seth for sharing their stories and career advice with the students, I’m sure they got a lot out of it!

Last week at CPE we celebrated Tom Adams completing his Fabrication Apprenticeship!
Tom started with us back in 2022 and has been a quiet achiever who has worked hard to develop his skills to make him the tradesmen he is today.

Cobram Secondary College is proud to have a host of students out on Work Experience this week, gaining valuable real-world industry experience and exploring future career pathways.

A huge thank you to the many local businesses and organisations supporting our students by welcoming them into their workplaces. These opportunities play an important role in helping students make informed subject selections in Years 9 and 10, while also guiding decisions around VCE and VM pathways that align with their interests, strengths and future career goals.

Elliott Dunbar has been completing his placement with CPE Construction this week. With a keen interest in pursuing a career as a welder, Elliott was excited to experience working in a factory environment and gain insight into the industry firsthand.

Thank you to Elliott and all of our students for representing the College so well, and to our community businesses for helping inspire the workforce of tomorrow.

Today we say a temporary farewell to Tamika Mosman as she heads off on maternity leave.

This is a special milestone for CPE. As our first female welder, Tamika has not only contributed exceptional skill and dedication to her work, but has also been an inspiration to other young women considering a career in the industry. It’s been a pleasure to witness her growth, both professionally and personally, during her time with us.

We wish Tamika and her partner Jack all the very best as they prepare to welcome their newest family member. We look forward to welcoming her back in the future.

CPE Construction will be completing the full build of a new warehouse in Shepparton. We are excited to work on another great regional project, look out for further updates as we begin construction works.

CPE Construction, part of the wider CG&C Group, was proud to be a major sponsor of the WebEx Player Series Murray River (Cobram Barooga) earlier this month. CPE has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the Barooga Sporties, and more recently, CG&C Group assisted in converting a grant to build a new maintenance facility for the golf club.

Connex and CPE Construction have developed the design and are now preparing for the fabrication and construction phases, with our CG&C Site Services installation team set to support the works.
