Winter is the perfect time of year to make changes and give things a good tidy up! I was not happy with this corner that gets hot afternoon sun in Summer. I took out some of the perennials that struggled there last summer and replaced with some hardier shrubs. I cut them right back as they'd finished flowering and this gives them a head start for their spring growth. (I can already see new growth!!)
🌿 Tagetes lemmonii - passionfruit daisy or Mexican marigold - grows tall, about 1.2m in my garden, loves sun, is drought tolerant and has beautiful orange yellow flowers late summer to winter.
Check the comments for the full plant list and I'll post an update in spring when there's some more growth going on!
