We’ve been a bit quieter on the socials as of late… things are happening and sometimes we forget to let YOU know that things are happening!

But… we’re back for another

🍃Plant Spotlight🍃

This week it’s the Callistemon!
Commonly known as the Bottlebrush, Callistemons are iconic Australian natives known for their colourful, fluffy flower spikes that resemble a bottle-cleaning brush.
Available in vibrant reds, pink, magenta and white, they’re hardy, versatile and fantastic for attracting native wildlife.

Callistemons are generally sun-loving, low-maintenance plants that cope well with Australian conditions.
Depending on the variety, they can be used as feature plants, hedges, screening plants or compact garden shrubs in pots or confined spaces.

🌸 Did you know? 🌸

Bottlebrushes can flower multiple times throughout the year when conditions are right! Pruning after flowering can encourage fresh growth and help produce another spectacular flush of those colourful bottlebrush blooms. ✨

🌿 Plant Spotlight 🌿

We’re zooming in on an absolute stunner; the Hardenbergia 😍

Whilst often called a Native Wisteria, this gorgeous climber is actually part of the legume family!

It is a hardy Australian climbing plant that puts on a stunning display of purple, pink or white flowers from late winter into spring.
Perfect for winter colour and covering walls or fences, the hardenbergia is fast growing and low maintenance, only needing watering during establishment and periods of severe dryness.

The tendrils of these plants are non invasive, meaning they don’t damage paint work or infrastructure by sticking to surfaces as they climb.

High in nectar, these plants are great for pollinators like bees and birds 🐝🐦

🪻 Did you know? 🪻

Hardenbergia is one of Australia’s most widely grown native climbers and can even be trained as a groundcover or left to cascade over retaining walls.
