Mid winter turf installation. Day started off great. Plenty of sunshine to install the instant turf. Then the clouds and rain rolled in just in perfect time to give the new lawn a shower.

The Marbled Gecko (Christinus marmoratus).
These geckos are native to southern Australia and are commonly found in suburban gardens and homes.
They are primarily nocturnal, sheltering during the day under bark, rocks, or around buildings, and emerging at night to feed on small insects.
Marbled Geckos have a distinctive marbled pattern on their skin, which provides excellent camouflage, and they can grow to a total length of about 15cm, including their tail.
They are harmless to humans and are considered beneficial to have in gardens because they eat pest insects.
