This garden in South Cronulla had an enormous Eucalyptus that was slowly dying.
Stump ground out and let garden settle.
The client sent photos of plants they liked and left it to me to select those suitable for the area(salt air and full sun)
I’m a firm opposer to bigger is better when it comes to garden installation.
There is no pot here larger than 300mm.
Planting smaller pots is a win win. It is less expensive but more importantly, the garden will be much healthier if the plant establishes in the environment it is going to stay long term.
Also, it is ok to have space.
Zamia in the centre, informal circle of rapheolepsis oriental pearl around the Zamia.
Alcantera rubra(bromeliad red) in corner.
Row of miss muffet, 3xcousin it to spill over garden wall.
Kalenchoe siver spoons and crasula bluebird for colour and foliage contrast.
Lomandra(native grasses for natural movement and vertical accent)
