Wish I was the type of gal who took her team out every few weeks. But alas, life often gets in the way and we definitely don’t do this enough.

We are all pretty driven by the power of connection and when we get together over a delicious meal, it’s very awesome.

Enjoy your weekend gorgeous people.

If you’ve found yourself on my page today and you’re in the market for a pool - hi! Welcome! I’m so excited you’ve found us.
Whilst the thought of finally being ready to build a pool is very exciting, the process to actually get there can feel a little overwhelming.
We don’t expect you to know a coping tile from a waterline, or a spigot from an eyeball. Geez, this stuff is a lot. Lucky you’re here though — this is our jam.
Over the next little while I’ll be running you through the stages of the process, and it all starts with a design. Every pool needs a design — did you know that? We can’t build anything without a signed and sealed set of plans ready to go.
But don’t worry. We design them too. I know… a total one-stop shop.
So the journey starts with you and your burning desire to dig a big hole in your backyard and fill it with water - and then it’s up to us to make it happen and cool you down.
So stop scrolling, save this post, jump on our website - whatever you need to do to get in touch.
Because we really want to build your pool.

Access is one of the first things people worry about when they're told they can't have a pool.
This site in Engadine is a perfect example.
No driveway access. Heaps of stairs. A backyard that doesn't exactly scream "easy build".
So we hand-dug the pool.
Ran the soil along a conveyor belt.
Sent it down what can only be described as a pretty wild chute situation.
Is it harder? Absolutely.
Is it impossible? Not even close.
This is the part people don't always see - the planning, the problem solving, the willingness to work with the site instead of writing it off as too hard.
So if you've been told a pool won't work because of access, slope, stairs or a slightly dramatic backyard… there's a good chance you just haven't spoken to the right people yet.
We'll figure it out. Even if it involves a few extra steps. Literally.

Move on over Summer, it's Winter's turn for the spotlight.
People often think pools are just a summer thing. But what I've learnt is they can make winter pretty great too.
When we built our last pool Matt was absolutely adamant we needed a spa. I remember thinking… do we really though? It felt like one of those things that would be nice but maybe not necessary.
Turns out I was very wrong.
I didn't realise how much of a sook I was about cold water until I had the option of sitting in really warm water on a chilly night. Best investment ever. And the kids love the bubbles.
If you build a pool and spa combo this winter, next winter you could be sitting in your own warm spa while the air's a little crisp. Or jumping in the pool for a cold plunge if that's your thing.
Either way, the backyard doesn't suddenly become off limits just because the seasons change.

Rocky, slopey site? No worries.

When people first look at yards like this, the assumption is usually the same: no way man!

And to be fair, sites like this do ask a bit more of you. The levels need careful thought. Rock can make excavation interesting. And the design has to work with the slope rather than fight it.

But what I’ve learned over the years is that these are often the projects that turn out the most interesting.

Because when you lean into the land - rather than trying to flatten everything - you end up with something that feels far more intentional.

This was Project Oceanview.

Same backyard.

Just a very different way of using it now.

Thinking about building a pool… but not quite sure where to start?

You're not alone. Most people sit on this idea for months (sometimes years) because it feels like a lot.

And it is.

But before you go down the Pinterest rabbit hole or start comparing tiles you don't understand yet… start here.
There are three things that will shape everything about your pool - how it looks, how it functions and how much it costs.
1. Understand your yard. Access and sunlight change everything.
2. Understand rough costs. Concrete pools typically range from $100k to $150k+.
3. Talk to a builder early. You don't need to have it all figured out. A good builder helps you avoid expensive mistakes.

Get these right early, and the whole process feels a lot clearer. Get them wrong… and things can get messy (and expensive) pretty quickly.

If a pool is on your radar for the next 12–18 months, save this. You'll come back to it.
And if you want to talk it through properly, you know where we are.
