Nixon Plumbing completed a 200mm water main installation under a Queensland Rail line in Charters Towers.

Project involved:
-Closing the intersection of Chloride Street and the Flinders Highway;

-Multiple existing service crossings, water, Optical Fibre and Telstra lines.

-Directional drilling in rock conditions to install a 450mm HDPE SDR9 enveloper.

- installing 250mm HDPE carrier pipe with Quick Zip pipe spacers.

- Grout filling around externals of enveloper.

-Track Protection officer and surveyor for Track monitoring.

-Road reinstatement.

150mm recycled water main connection for middlemount community school

Over the weekend we completed a 150mm live tapping into a 300mm AC water main for a fire service upgrade at Middlemount school.
Assembly complete with rising spindle sluice valves, Octave flow meter and Tyco single check valve.

ROAD CLOSURE - CHLORIDE STREET

Nixon Plumbing, on behalf of Charters Towers Regional Council will be undertaking civil construction activity on the corner of the Flinders Highway and Chloride Street, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝟏𝟐 𝐌𝐚𝐲, 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝟔 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞, weather permitting.

This activity will result in the 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 of Chloride Street, between Flinders Highway and Truscott Road for the duration of the works

Traffic management measures will be in place for the duration of the works to ensure safety and to minimise disruption.

Council acknowledges that these works may cause inconvenience and appreciates the community's cooperation and understanding.

Nixon Plumbing was engaged by Isaac Regional Council to install two sewer pump station bypass points into the sewer rising mains.

As these two pump stations received the majority of the inflows from the township of Moranbah, significant planning and contingency plans were put in place to cater for the hundreds of thousands of litres of sewerage inflows and liquid volume within the pipelines that required draining for works to proceed.

Again, Nixon Plumbing delivered this project without incident, on time and within budget.
