Just a reminder that this yearā€™s dahlia event will also include a seed and plant swap!

Now is the perfect time to package and label anything youā€™d like to bring for our spring event.

If you have spare seeds or plantsā€”flowers, vegetables, herbs, natives, perennials or annualsā€”weā€™d love for you to share them. Open-pollinated, hybrids, home-saved or commercially purchasedā€¦ all are welcome.

Please label everything clearly with:
šŸŒæ Plant name
šŸŒø Flower colour (where applicable)

And most importantly, make sure everything is healthy, pest-free and disease-free.ā€¼ļøā€¼ļøā€¼ļø

Letā€™s share plantsā€”not pests! šŸ˜„

This is a wonderful opportunity to swap not only dahlias but all sorts of plants and seeds with fellow gardeners in our community.

I'm considering booking a stall at the Curtin Spring Fair (usually held in mid-October) and was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining me to sell excess plants, seeds, cuttings, or other garden-related items.

There may be a small stall fee, which we can share between participants. But understand if you byo table thereā€™s no fee but Iā€™ll confirm!

If you'd be interested in being part of it, please send me a message. It would be great to gauge interest and potentially put together a gardening community stall!

Seed and plant sharing at this years Dahlia Swap & Giveaway event šŸŒø

With seed harvesting season underway, I thought it would be a great opportunity to expand our next Dahlia Swap & Giveaway into a seed and plant sharing event as well.

If you have any excess seedsā€¦ flowers, veggies, herbs, plants, anything at all, youā€™re welcome to bring them along to share with others. Open-pollinated or otherwise, all are welcome.

The only things we ask is that you please label your seeds and plants clearly, including:
ā€¢ What the plant is
ā€¢ The colour (especially for flowers)
Andā€¦ ensure itā€™s pest free!!!

This is a lovely way to swap not just dahlias, but a wider variety of plants within our community.
