Rocaille recently attended an immersive lighting experience in Sydney, exploring contemporary approaches to architectural lighting and the role of light in shaping spatial perception, atmosphere, and user experience.

The program included studio visits, presentations, and guided discussions across leading lighting studios, offering valuable insight into the application of lighting across workplaces, galleries, residential environments, and public spaces.

With thanks to ERCO Lighting, Integral Lighting, and Buckford Illumination for hosting and sharing their expertise throughout the program.

An enriching experience that brings valuable perspectives on lighting design back into ongoing work at Design Studio GA.

We’re proud to share that our Principal Architect Richard Gumabao was recently featured in an interview with UAP Studio51 at NatCon 51 🇵🇭🇦🇺

In the interview, he highlighted the United Architects of the Philippines – Australia and New Zealand Chapter, sharing its vision of building a strong, connected community of Filipino architects across the region.

The conversation focused on the chapter’s key goals and advocacies—supporting Filipino architects in their professional growth abroad, fostering collaboration and mentorship, and creating programs that are relevant to the realities of the diaspora. It also emphasized strengthening ties with the mother organization while championing the unique contributions of Filipino architects in Australia and New Zealand.

We’re honored to contribute to these important conversations and to help bring greater visibility to the work being done by the chapter.
