Turns out explaining the solar & battery system on camera is harder than installing it 😂

We spent the day at Fitzy’s place getting his Sungrow solar and battery set up the way it should be. The system behaved. The rest of us, not so much.

These are the takes that didn’t make it.

Spring is here, and September was a big one for the AR Energy team. ☀️

128 local households chose AR Energy for their energy needs this month.

And 122 of those systems included a battery.

Helping more families make the most of their own solar power, day and night. 🔋

We know choosing an energy system is a big decision, and we’re incredibly grateful to every customer who trusted us with their home.

A huge thank you to our team too — the people behind every system, every install and every customer experience.

Here’s to a sunny October. ☀️

Solar isn't just for rooftops ☀️⚡

This time, we headed to Morgan on the River Murray for something a little different… a houseboat solar and battery installation!

With 5 bedrooms and multiple bathrooms, this isn't your average boat and powering a property like this requires a seriously considered energy solution.

We took you behind the scenes to show the installation in action, meet the team doing the work and have a look inside this incredible floating home.

From homes and businesses to off-grid and unique energy projects, AR Energy is here to help Australians take control of their energy.

We explain it. We install it. We stand by it. ⚡

Already got solar, but not sure you’re getting the most out of it? You’re not alone. Here’s the honest version. ☀️

A lot has changed since many Adelaide homes first put panels on the roof. Sending your spare solar back to the grid earns a lot less than it used to. These days, the real value is in using more of it yourself.

3 simple tips:

1️⃣ Make sure you’re with the right energy supplier
Your supplier matters as much as your panels. Feed-in rates, usage rates and the new free midday power plans all vary between suppliers. The one that looks best on paper isn’t always the best one for your home.

2️⃣ Run your big appliances while the sun is out
Think dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, pool pump or charging the car. Running them in the middle of the day means you’re using your own solar, not buying power back at night.

3️⃣ Let a local team do the homework for you
That’s where we come in. The AR Energy team can look at your bill and your system and show you where the gains are. And if you’re already set up well, we’ll tell you that too.

Free consultation, no obligation. Just a chat with the team behind every install.

Meet Jacob Surjan

Your energy. Your home. Your decision.

Jacob brings a lifetime of experience in high-performance teams, leadership and working with people but these days, his focus is helping South Australians make better decisions about their energy.

As a former Port Adelaide player and coach, Jacob knows the value of preparation, teamwork and showing up for people. He brings that same approach to every customer conversation at AR Energy.

Whether you’re looking at solar, batteries, EV charging or a broader energy solution, Jacob’s job isn’t to push you into something you don’t need.

It’s to understand what you’re trying to achieve, explain your options clearly and help you find an energy solution that makes sense for your home or business.

Good energy starts with a good conversation.

No confusing jargon.
No one-size-fits-all recommendations.
Just honest advice, backed by a team that knows energy.

Thinking about what’s next for your energy?

Let’s have a chat.

It started with a passion for the trade. What came next was a vision for doing things better⚡

For Aidan, getting into the solar industry wasn’t just about installing panels. It was about building a business where quality workmanship, honest advice and the customer experience actually mattered.

That same thinking still drives AR Energy today.

From the first conversation to the final install, we want our customers to feel confident in the people they’ve trusted with their home, business and energy future.

Qualified people. Quality work. Genuine care.

Hear from Aidan on where it all started and why delivering the best possible trade experience still sits at the heart of AR Energy.
