October is a pretty special month for us.

CRJ Designer Homes turns 20!

It’s a little hard to believe that we started CRJ back in 2006. Like any business, there have been plenty of long days, challenges, lessons and a whole lot of hard work along the way. But there have also been so many great people, beautiful homes and moments that we are incredibly proud of.

Twenty years later, we still genuinely love what we do.

We still love seeing a design come together, watching a home take shape on site and handing the keys over at the end. And we still feel incredibly lucky that people trust us with something as important as their home.

CRJ wouldn’t be what it is today without our clients, our team, our trades, suppliers, family and everyone who has supported us along the way.

So throughout October, we’re going to have a little fun looking back at where it all started, some of the homes we’ve built and a few memories from the past 20 years.

Thank you for being part of it.

Here’s to 20 years of CRJ.

Tonight’s the night!

We’re feeling a little bit proud (and probably a little bit nervous!) to finally see Verona Manor on Dream Homes Revealed tonight.

This home will always be a special one for us. There was so much thought, detail and craftsmanship poured into every part of Verona Manor, so to now see it featured on national television is a pretty incredible moment for our little CRJ team.

And after recently taking home four Master Builders awards, including House of the Year, it feels like a lovely way to celebrate just how special this home really is.

If you’d like a peek inside our multi-award-winning Verona Manor, tune in tonight on Dream Homes Revealed.

Watch on 9Now - Channel 83 locally at 5.30pm

We’ll definitely be watching!

The ceilings are getting higher… and this home is really starting to show its personality.

Those beautiful pitched ceilings are now taking shape, creating incredible volume and giving us a glimpse of just how special this space is going to feel.

And just wait until they’re lined in natural timber. This one is going to be beautiful.

We did it.

Last night was one of those moments we’ll remember for a very long time.

At the Master Builders Awards, our home was awarded:

HOUSE OF THE YEAR

Individual Home $2 million – $2.5 million
Best Kitchen
Best Bathrooms

Four awards. One incredible home. And a result that means more to us than we can put into words.

For 20 years, CRJ Designer Homes has been built around a simple belief that the details matter. That quality matters. That creating a home should be personal, considered and something everyone involved can be genuinely proud of.

To have that recognised by Master Builders, and to take home House of the Year, is incredibly special.

To our beautiful clients - thank you for trusting us with your home and allowing us to bring something truly exceptional to life.

To our team, trades, suppliers and everyone who had a hand in this build - this belongs to all of you. Every detail, every decision and every hour contributed to what we achieved last night.

And for Michael and I, after 20 years of building CRJ together, this one feels pretty special.

House of the Year.

We might be celebrating this one for a little while.

If you could design your home around the way you actually live… what would be at the top of your wish list?

One of the best parts of building a custom home is having the opportunity to think beyond how a home looks and consider how you want it to feel and function every day.

Maybe it’s a beautiful kitchen with a generous island where everyone naturally gathers.

A butler’s pantry that keeps the everyday mess tucked away.

An outdoor area designed for long lunches and relaxed weekends.

A peaceful master suite that feels like your own retreat.

Or simply more storage in all the right places.

Good home design isn’t about including every trend or making a home bigger. It’s about making thoughtful choices that suit your family, your lifestyle and the way you want to live.

If building a new home is somewhere in your future, start keeping a list of the little things that would make everyday life easier or more enjoyable — they often become some of the most valuable parts of the final design.

👇 Your turn - if you were designing your new home tomorrow, what’s ONE feature you wouldn’t compromise on?

We’d love to hear your answers!

Luxury is often found in the details.

Not every home needs an Axminster carpet, but when the design calls for something extra special, it can completely elevate a space.

This beautiful Brintons Natural Dimensions carpet brings warmth, texture and understated luxury underfoot. Crafted from 100% undyed wool, its natural tones take their cues from nature, while the cut and loop construction creates a beautifully rich, tactile finish.

Axminster carpet is known for its exceptional quality and construction, allowing beautiful patterns, texture and durability to come together in a premium flooring finish.

It’s those considered material choices - the ones you can see, feel and experience - that can take a home from beautiful to truly special.

Would you choose a statement carpet like this for your home?

And just like that… we’re out of the ground!

There’s something pretty special about slab day. After all the planning, selections, drawings and preparation behind the scenes, this is the moment a new home really starts to take shape.

Today the slab is going down for another CRJ Designer Homes build - an exciting milestone for our clients and the beginning of seeing their plans come to life.

A lot happens before the concrete arrives. Set-out, earthworks, plumbing, drainage, reinforcement and preparation all need to come together to create the foundation for everything that follows.

For our clients, though, today is simply a day worth celebrating…

Your new home is officially underway!

Congratulations to our wonderful clients - we’re so excited to be building this one with you and can’t wait to share the progress from slab to finished home.

Follow along as we bring this home to life.

So many choices… but you don’t have to make them alone.

One of the most exciting parts of building a new home is choosing everything that will make it feel like yours - but we also know just how overwhelming those decisions can become.

That’s where Gillian comes in.

Throughout the selections process, you’ll be supported and guided as we bring all the pieces of your home together - from colours, cabinetry and benchtops to flooring, tiles, tapware, fixtures and finishes.

It’s not about handing you a list of suppliers and leaving you to figure it out.

It’s about having someone beside you who understands your vision, helps narrow down the choices, considers how each selection will work with the next, and keeps the overall look and feel of your home in mind.

Whether you know exactly what you love or have absolutely no idea where to begin, that’s okay.

We’ll work through it together.

Because building a custom home should feel personal and we believe the experience should be too.

A CRJ Designer Home is coming to Channel 9.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that one of our beautiful custom homes will be featured on Dream Homes Revealed.

It’s very special to see one of our homes recognised and shared with a wider audience, and we can’t wait for you to see it.

Stay tuned - more details to come.
