Steve Lucas, owner of Anglewood, has been designing and producing bespoke timber furniture in South East Queensland for 45 years. Steve has collaborated with many notable and respected architects and interior designers to create a range of projects; from stunning unique pieces, to full houses of cabinetry. Originally established in 1976, Anglewood began as a Pre-School play equipment manufacturer,
holding contracts with education departments to produce solid timber block utility boxes for use throughout South-East Queensland. Throughout the 80s and 90s, Steve turned his self-taught craft towards custom solid timber furniture. Steve’s fine workmanship is an art that is sort after by Architects and Interior Designers not only for clients, but also for their own homes. In 2016, Steve took his grandson Bailey on as his apprentice and taught him the niche art of woodwork and cabinet making. Bailey participated in woodworking and design technology classes during his high school years, though his passion for woodwork was amplified after beginning his apprenticeship with his grandfather. Bailey obtained his Certificate of Cabinet Making in late 2020, and today, they work alongside each other doing what they both love: producing bespoke furniture and creating housefuls of cabinetry. Anglewood’s portfolio ranges from built-in and standalone cabinetry, high-end kitchens, wardrobes, vanity units and libraries, to dining tables, desks, media units, side tables, credenzas and more! All designs are custom built to suit any room size and layout. Whether you’re looking for stunning bespoke pieces to make a statement in your home or workplace, a total revamp project or looking at building, Anglewood has the expertise and sophistication to make your project a cut above the rest.
