Build 57 at Constructionarium Australia saw Seymour Whyte sponsor this year’s program, with six team members joining students, and new-to-industry peers to construct a scaled replica of Brisbane’s iconic Eleanor Schonell Bridge.
From 27 May to 5 June, participants were immersed in a hands-on learning experience that went beyond the day-to-day: collaborating, solving real-world challenges and bringing the complex structure to life.
Investing in practical learning opportunities like this is how we build capability in our people and strengthen the future of our industry. By supporting programs such as , we helped develop the next generation of infrastructure professionals while continuing to grow the skills, confidence and leadership of our own people.

On World Environment Day, we’re highlighting an initiative we're taking towards a lower-emissions future.

Through our new EV charging partnership with Origin Energy, we’re supporting a growing low-carbon fleet across our business:

🔼 147% increase in low-carbon light vehicles since 2024
🚗 47 low-carbon vehicles now in operation
🌿 30,000L+ of alternative fuel HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) used on the Gold Coast
⚡ National rollout of EV charging across sites and offices

These changes to our fleet enable us to make a positive impact in reducing carbon emissions and achieving our Strategic Goal 4: Decarbonisation.

As Michelle Nation, General Manager – Health, Safety, Environment & Quality, explains:

What does look like in action?

During 2026, our Upper South Creek Networks (USCN) Project marked the successful completion of its inaugural First Nations Business Administration Job Ready Pathway Program.

Led by CreekConnect – our joint venture partnership with Jacobs Solutions Inc. – the pilot program was designed to create meaningful pathways into infrastructure careers for First Nations people in Western Sydney.

Bringing together First Nations businesses, training providers, employment services and industry partners, the program helped participants build practical skills, confidence and connections to support their next career step.

The graduate feedback speaks for itself:
✅ 90% participant retention
✅ 100% attendance
✅ 100% met program expectations
✅ 100% felt supported
✅ 100% ready to apply for roles
✅ 90%+ reported increased confidence and job readiness

A highlight of the program was a Yarning Circle facilitated by Indi Connect, which provided a culturally safe space for participants to share experiences, build trust and reflect on their journey.

Thank you to our collaborators: Skills NSW, Westbourne College (RTO), Indi Connect, Salvation Army Employment Plus Penrith, and Asuria Employment Services.

And to our USCN Delivery Partners for their commitment to connecting participants to real opportunities: Vaughan Infrastructure, Fulton Hogan, Quickway, Ferrycarrig, Eire Constructions, McConnell Dowell, and Tunnelling Solutions.

CreekConnect, part of the Upper South Creek Networks Program, was proud to support the KARI Australia Education & Employment Expo in Minto on Thursday 14 May.

The event brought together over 200 First Nations students, school leavers and community members, sharing in conversations around pathways into construction, training and future employment.

It was a great opportunity to connect with community, share what we do, and highlight the opportunities being created through the program, especially with so many young people showing interest in careers in construction.

A big thank you to the KARI team for delivering such a well-run and engaging event.

The Warragul-bound exit ramp to Clyde Road has reopened.

The ramp was closed for upgrades while we installed drainage, relocated services, built new lanes and laid asphalt.

The ramp will operate with right-turn movements only, while the left turn onto Clyde Road northbound remains closed until further works are completed on the new northbound lanes.

As part of VINCI’s Safety initiatives and National Road Safety Week, teams across our projects have been reinforcing safe behaviours when working around live traffic and operating plant.

By sharing safety commitments, talking about real risks on our sites, and holding interactive safety demos, our teams are building awareness and strengthening the habits that help keep everyone safe.

Safety is a shared responsibility - especially where vehicles, plant and people interact. Staying aware, communicating clearly and taking a moment to reassess risks makes the difference.
