🚧 Recent Project – Rosny Bus Mall CCTV Upgrade

We recently completed a CCTV upgrade at the Rosny Bus Mall for the City of Clarence, replacing aging cameras with new high-performance systems.

The new setup features AXIS 4-sensor cameras, providing wide-area coverage with fewer devices, along with built-in smart analytics such as people and vehicle counting.

This upgrade not only improves overall visibility and image quality, but also gives Council access to better data and insights to help manage the space and respond to incidents more effectively.

This forms part of Council’s broader efforts to help curb anti-social behaviour in the area, as outlined in their recent statement.

It’s great to be involved in projects that support safer public spaces and smarter infrastructure.

Ever Wonder What Powers an Alarm & Access Control System?

Here’s a look inside one of the enclosures we recently installed for a customer.

This particular setup does more than just detect intrusions — it also controls door locks, acts as a duress system, and can be fully monitored and controlled from an app on your phone.

All the functionality of a modern security system, neatly packaged and professionally installed.

This customer needed CCTV coverage over their carpark, but the existing light poles had no easy way to run data cabling — and with the site located near the coast, corrosion was a major concern.

Our solution? We installed stainless steel enclosures on the poles to house the equipment, protecting it from rust and harsh coastal conditions. A wireless link, mounted on top of each enclosure, sends the video feeds back to the main office — no trenching or cabling required.

And because we plan for the long term, we even included a temperature-activated fan inside each enclosure to keep the equipment cool during hot weather.

It’s this level of thought and attention to detail that sets us apart.

When a data cabinet gets to the point where even simple changes risk taking down the network — it’s time for a clean-up.

This customer reached out after their existing cabinet had become so congested that IT couldn't safely make any changes without risking an outage.

Our solution? We installed a new rack directly above another existing one, then carefully extended all cabling into the new rack. The entire job was completed live, with minimal disruption to the client’s operations.

It’s been a little while since our last update — but that’s only because we’ve been busy delivering quality solutions for our clients!

Here’s a recent project we completed: a cleanly installed IT rack tucked under the stairs for one of our customers. As part of the job, we cabled a new CCTV system and installed data outlets throughout the building.

For the keen eye — you might notice the last few data outlets in the rack are orange. This is a simple but effective way to clearly identify the CCTV camera connections from the general field outlets. It’s the little touches like this that set us apart and make future maintenance easier for everyone.

At Ecom Technologies, we rerouted the fibre cable, eliminating the need for external conduit and relocating the NTD to a more practical and visually appealing location. Now, their home looks clean, and their internet setup is exactly where they want it.
