🚧Rehab Works Continue at ASQ Newbridge🚧

Our team recently took advantage of a small weather window to get back out to ASQ Newbridge and complete further rehabilitation works across the floor.

We also continued works to raise the access track, which will eventually allow for the removal of an old access ramp and improve the overall site access.

Another great team effort from everyone involved, making the most of the conditions and getting as much work completed as possible.

There’s still a little more to finish off, but we’ll be back at it once things dry out again! 💪

Our team was engaged to carry out civil earthworks on a newly constructed dam and the associated access track serving the new build.
The following items were completed to the required standard for sign-off:
• Establishment of a consistent 1% crossfall across the full width of the dam access track
• Construction of cut-off drainage to effectively control surface water runoff
• Reshaping of the batters on the existing wall, with excess material windrowed to form a ridge bank for bank-erosion control
While on site, the team also utilised our GPS system on our 12M grader to create accurate linework marking the alignment for the new paddock fencing.

Our team was back onsite to a previous client again after they had more fill delivered to their new house site, and just before all the rain!

With our 12M grader we:
- pushed and contoured the edges of the house site, to give a more useable area.
- re graded the house pad area with a 1% fall to allow the site to drain with the expected rain.

Still some more fill to go around the outside edges and batter off, so when the house is completed all the bulk earthworks have been done prior.

Our team has been assisting ASQ with rehab works at their quarry out at Newbridge.
Working alongside to:
- rehab the quarried bluestone floor.
- constructing a v drain around the permiter of the pit to be able to contain water run off.
- a clay lined dam floor, bund wall/access ramp.
This project has come along way over the couple of months on and off between our other projects.
We are on the lookout for more partnerships to collab with, high quality of detail, high safety standards and we treat each job as if it’s our own!

We teamed up with the guys at John McClean Electrical to get this job done before the next rain hits for a repeat client! đź’Ş
Over 300 metres of trenching completed, running power to the new shed pad, electric gates, and lighting all fed from the property’s main power pit.
It was a solid couple of big days, but we knocked it over and got it all in the ground just in time.

Our team recently partnered with ALS Civil on a new build property to deliver practical earthworks solutions across the site.

Works included improving an existing dam by excavating and keying in a new enlarged bank to increase water catchment capacity from the surrounding property contours. The additional material excavated from the dam expansion was then loaded out and utilised to backfill around newly installed tilt panels onsite.

A great outcome all round, increasing the dam capacity while efficiently reusing material to support other areas of the project.

We appreciate the opportunity to work alongside ALS Civil and look forward to future projects together.

đź“Ł Last week we helped a new build client get way ahead of the game with their site cut.
Most builders will only cut and level the house footprint plus a metre or two around it.
We went much further and the difference is huge:
âś… Cut and levelled the block right to the front property line
âś… Prepared a full 20m x 15m shed footprint ready for installation while the house is being built
âś… Built up and compacted side access so the shed can be easily accessed during construction

Why do we strongly recommend doing a bigger site cut before your build starts?
• Dramatically reduces dust and mess around your brand new home
• Allows proper drainage setup so your site stays usable in all weather
• Gives you time to plan and prepare your landscaping properly
• No more working around tight finished areas or damaging new work

Last week I got the privilege to test run the new 140 Cat grader!
Impressive machine with a lot of thought gone into improvements for not only operator but servicing, and pre start ease.
Mastless system, makes for ease with dense areas and batters. On top of that geo fence pre set to block the ability to hit your stairs and tyres, they have even thought about those windy days and hinged the doors so you have to push past midway to close, no smashed windows!
