Recently had the pleasure of wiring up a new house for Simple Construction Solutions with a range of great additions for convenience throughout the home.
Some of these included:
⁃ Sensor light for the walk-in pantry in addition to a standard on/off switch.
⁃ 2 HDMI outlets in the media room to ensure all devices can be connected without bulky cables.
⁃ Data outlet in the pantry for the modem to ensure it’s accessible throughout the home.

During a solar inspection today we discovered what is identified as ‘snail trail’ which happens when hot points develop on a solar panel.

This causes the panel to start failing and the panel will need replacing.

As the cooler weather sets in and the ice forms on our windscreens, we tend to mindlessly switch on our heaters without considering the potential risks.
If your switchboard looks these photos below, you are at risk of electrocution. Whilst it doesn’t seem too bad, a simple nick in the wire can lead to an extensive list of issues.

To minimise the risks and ensure you’re providing a safe home for your friends and family, you can replace your old fuse and circuit breakers with safety switches called RCBO’s. These devices detect faults within the circuit and trip before the current gets too high.
