I’m Dan, the owner and operator of Dan’s Home & Property Services, based in Picton and working throughout Picton, Tahmoor, Wilton, Bargo, Buxton and surrounding areas.

I built this business to be the kind of service I’d want to deal with myself — straightforward, reliable and personal.

Not every “after” photo is greener on day one.

Today’s job was all about improving the lawn from the ground up — levelling uneven areas and top dressing with 2 tonnes of locally supplied Picton topsoil.

The aim is to smooth out low spots, improve the lawn surface and give the grass a better base to grow back through thicker and more evenly.

If your lawn is uneven, tired, patchy or just needs some attention, I can help with everything from small lawn repairs and top dressing through to mowing, garden tidy-ups and complete property resets.

A bit of lawn levelling today 👌

Today’s job involved spreading and working topsoil through the lawn to help level out some of the uneven areas and give the grass a better base moving forward.

It’s not always about a huge transformation — sometimes getting the groundwork right is what makes the biggest difference over time.

LAWN LEVEL CORRECTION

This one was about more than just making the lawn look tidier.
The ground beside the patio/alfresco had a significant drop in level, while other sections of the lawn had become compressed and rutted from vehicles being driven over it over time.

The low areas were built back up, the surface levelled and the tyre-affected sections corrected to create a much smoother, more even transition across the lawn and around the alfresco area.

These are the types of smaller property improvement jobs that can make a big difference to how an area looks and functions.

Another home maintenance job sorted.

Removed the existing pantry shelving, patched the fixing holes and damage, cleaned everything up and took the old shelving away — leaving the space ready for sanding and painting.

Not every property job needs a major renovation. Sometimes you just need someone to come in, get it sorted properly and leave it ready for what’s next.

PROPERTY RESCUE | PRE-SALE TRANSFORMATION

This property needed more than a mow and tidy. The goal was to get the entire outdoor property back under control and ready for sale.

Heavy overgrowth was cleared, lawns restored, gardens and vegetation cut back, larger branches removed, buried paved areas uncovered, green waste removed and hard surfaces pressure cleaned.

With steep, multi-level access and much of the waste having to be carried out by hand, this was a complete property rescue from start to finish.
